If you thought kilts were only for the Scots and the Irish, think again! Kilts have made a foray into the fashion world and are so much more than tartan prints that belonged to Scottish clans. Today kilts make for very fashionable men’s and in some case, women’s clothing too.
Kilts are increasingly being used not just for party wear, they make for great outdoors clothing too. Be it for the gym or a day of adventure, kilts are making their presence felt everywhere.
Kilt lovers can now look forward to events that promote kilts in everyday living and sports. The annual Kilt Skate event in Canada is one such promising event.
An Event to Reckon
Understandably as the Kilt Skate website says, Sir John A’s Great Canadian Kilt Skate is an annual event that is uniquely Canadian and yet undeniably Scottish. But it is not just the Scots who turn up for this event.
Every year, multitudes of kilt and skate lovers throng the crowds, some to ice skate, some wearing a kilt and many who ice skate wearing a kilt. If you love your kilts and you like to skate, you cannot afford to miss the next kilt skating event – The Fourth Annual Kilt Skate event that is coming up in January-February 2018.
